Michael A. Kramer of Delta died Sept. 6, 2017, at his home. He was 79.
St. Michael's Church will host a Rosary at 9 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 16, and a service will follow at 10 a.m. Inurnment will follow at the Delta City Cemetery.
Mr. Kramer was born May 14, 1938, in Montrose to Michael J. Kramer and Clarice Whittingham.
In May 1998, Mr. Kramer retired from the car business after 41 years. He spent the next 12 years traveling the U.S. -- sans Michigan and Wisconsin -- with his wife Jessie in their RV, spending their winters in Casa Grande, Ariz. They also visited Alaska, Hawaii, Jamaica, the Bahamas and Mexico.
Mr. Kramer enjoyed working in his yard and growing a big garden, sharing his harvest with family, friends and the young mothers and their children at The House of Promise.
He is survived by his three daughters, Michelle (Mike) Davis, Lori Ann (Geoff) Atchley of Delta and Denise (Frank Ketcham) Kramer of San Rafael, Calif.; eight grandchildren, Jennifer Davis, Jeena (Jesse) Hebert, John (Brandi) Davis, Jake (Sarah) Davis, Jacen (Annie) Davis, Stacy (Bryan) Bush, Brianna (Blake) Carlquist, Garren Atchley (Ranliegh McClelland); 17 great-grandchildren; and extended family.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Jessie.

At about 9:50 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 14, officers of the Delta Police Department were dispatched to a robbery reported at Arby's, located at 107 Gunnison River Drive. An extensive search of the area was conducted and the suspect was not located.
The suspect was reported to have walked into Arby's and after a brief conversation with an employee, was able to leave the store with a small amount of cash and coins.
