Mickey Edward Smart died Nov. 4, 2017, at the San Juan Living Care Center in Montrose. He was 76.
He was born Dec. 2, 1940, to Norman and Angie (Tucker) Smart in Delta. He graduated from Delta High School in 1958.
On Feb. 6, 1975, he married Betty Ellis in Nevada. They shared 36 years of marriage before her death on Aug. 18, 2016.
Mr. Smart lived in Delta and Aztec, N.M., before moving to Redvale 35 years ago. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, cooking for the deer hunting camp, his church and church family. He also enjoyed traveling locally, especially to the Miramonte recreational area.
He is survived by two sons, Mike Smart and Sheldon Smart of Delta; stepdaughter, Carrie Siminoe of Nucla; two sisters, Norma Dodd of Springfield, Mo., and Angie of Washington; and one grandchild.
Taylor Funeral Service and Crematory is handling the arrangements.
