Middle school Math Counts competition held in Delta

Math Counts is a competitive math event for sixth-eighth grade students that includes both team and individual competitions. The Math Counts competition took place in Delta Dec. 10 at the Delta Performing Arts Center. The competition included teams from Delta Middle School, Hotchkiss K-8, Cedaredge Middle School, Paonia Middle School, North Fork Montessori, and Delta Academy of Applied Learning.

Sixth Grade
Team Results

First place from Paonia -- Simon Cox, Alejandro Garcia, Leonia Myers, Jason Kuntz.

Second place from Delta -- Sid Gerle, Cheyanne Germann, Mia Yost, Jimmy Hill.

Third place from Montessori -- Arjun Bacigalupi, Lydia Puckett, Kaya Crawford, Alyster Birk.
