Milton W. Trumble died Jan. 24, 2016, at Montrose Memorial Hospital. He was 76.
He was born in Gallup, N.M., Nov. 7, 1939, to Grant and Thelma Trumble.
He joined the Navy in 1956 and served in the Seabees Mobile Construction Battalion until he was discharged in 1966.
Mr. Trumble was a member of Iron Workers Local #24. He worked on the Morrow Point Dam, then moved to Denver where he worked on many construction projects over the next 40 years. He retired in 2006 and moved to the Olathe area.
He enjoyed family get-togethers, cooking on his cooker for family, friends and neighbors, and attending his nephews' wrestling, football and baseball events.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Betty; two daughters, Laurie (Curt) Lacey of Brighton and Shelly (Stace) Johnson of Ten Mile, Tenn.; a brother, Jerry Trumble of Olathe; two sisters, Betty (Bill) Workman of Grand Junction and Sherrie Nordin of Idaho; two grandsons, Bo and Josh Miller; and two great-grandsons.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, Jimmy, Clarence and Harvey; and one sister, Gwen Welter.
A celebration of life has been held.
