Bank of Colorado is pleased to announce the promotion of Mitch Swanda to branch president.
Bank of Colorado president Shawn Osthoff states, "We're excited to have Mitch's leadership skillset on display in Hotchkiss. Our bank is as strong as our team, and Mitch is the perfect person to steer the ship."
Swanda is well suited for leading and being part of a team. Having grown up on a farm in southeast Nebraska, Mitch learned that hard work yields wonderful results. Beyond a work ethic, Swanda gained an appreciation for the challenges facing both the ag and business communities.
"Growing up in Nebraska taught me the importance of community and instilled values that I apply to every interaction with customers to this day," Swanda commented.
Kacy Stillings, market president for Bank of Colorado, commented, "Mitch was an obvious choice for branch president. Dedication, hard work and a proven track record of excellent customer service were all factors in his promotion." The work ethic that Swanda displays surely comes from his time spent in the armed services. Upon graduation from high school, he joined the United States Navy and served six years aboard the aircraft carrier USS Nimitz.
A branch president is responsible for setting the tone for the rest of the team and having a wide variety of experience helps to ensure any challenge can be met. Swanda's career highlights include a bachelor's degree in business administration, an MBA from the University of Massachusetts - Amherst, a leadership role with USAA and time spent as an ag lender for the USDA, to name a few. "I'm excited to serve the Hotchkiss community and help grow our already talented team," said Swanda.
Mitch and his wife have one daughter and two rambunctious grandsons. They enjoy camping with their two dogs and are very excited to be in the North Fork community.
