A public hearing on possible revisions to the Hotchkiss Mobile Home, Mobile Home Park and Recreational Vehicle Park Regulations will be held tonight at the Hotchkiss Planning Commission meeting.
The hearing will begin at 6 p.m., which is a half-hour earlier than the regular meeting time. Hearing items include presentations on the background of the regulations and the proposed changes, a public comment period, and a commission discussion. Possible actions include tabling the changes for further discussion, approval by the commission to submit the draft changes, as written, to Hotchkiss Town Council for consideration, or approval with additional changes for council consideration.
Under "old business/ongoing items," the commission will discuss a community survey on the 2017 Hotchkiss Master Plan update, and possibly give an update on the Delta County Master Plan revision process. "New business" will include a discussion of the town's Sidewalks, Trails and Parks Plan update. The meeting will be held in Council Chambers at Hotchkiss Town Hall. The public is encouraged to attend.
On Dec. 4 Delta County Commissioners Doug Atchley, Mark Roeber and Don Suppes denied the application of Paonia Holdings, LLC for a change of land use for the property at 41322 Highway 133, with an adjacent residence at 41402 Highway 133 and an ancillary property at 16180 Stevens Gulch Road.
The property is owned by Bowie Resources, LLC, and was formerly used as a coal load-out site.
