The Delta County (Historical Society) Museum has created a new exhibit which highlights Delta High School, focusing on band and athletic recognition clothing from the past. Other DHS-related items are included in the exhibit, including photos and miscellaneous items from the past.
The Delta museum is open Tuesday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Admission for high school students is always free. The museum archive contains books, documents and photos detailing Delta County history back to 1883, as well as microfilm of all county newspapers. The archive specializes in family history research. Delta Volunteer Fire Department (DVFD) will be holding its annual fireworks show at Confluence Park on Wednesday, July 4, having received approval from Delta City Council at the council's June 5 meeting.
The DVFD has 28 volunteers and expects to have eight to 10 firefighters from Cedaredge join them this year.
