The Cedaredge High School music department presented its holiday concert to parents and the public at the school on Wednesday, Dec. 7.

The CHS Concert Choir opened the evening's program with seven arrangements beginning with a classic, Exultate Justi in Domino, and ending with two traditional holiday favorites: Away in a Manger and Silent Night.

The school's mixed choir took the stage next with a performance that focused on creating a holiday mood of eight numbers for the audience including five familiar favorites: What Child is This, Oh Come All Ye Faithful, God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen, Deck the Halls, and Angels We Have Heard on High.

The mixed choir performed Carol of the Bells to conclude its portion of the program.

Following an intermission, the CHS Concert Band performed Battle Hymn of the Republic, Amazing Grace, and ended the evening's performances playing various selections from the popular movie Polar Express.

The CHS music director is Melissa Gross and accompanist is Leslie Lewis.
