Shaquille Braley
On Jan. 20, Shaquille Aaron Braley graduated from the United States Marine Corps boot camp in San Diego, Calif. While at boot camp he earned the distinction of "expert" in riflemanship.

After a 10-day leave at home he returned to Camp Pendleton to complete Marine Combat Training. Upon completion of MCT he will begin a nine-month training in Pensacola, Fla., for helicopter airframe mechanic.

Shaq is a 2011 graduate of Delta High School. He is the son of the late Steve Braley of Gunnison and Deb Braley of Delta. He is the grandson of Vonnie and the late Ed Howard of Grand Junction, formerly of Gunnison.
