Colorado State University Extension will be hosting a two-day, hands-on canning workshop Thursday, July 31, and Friday, Aug. 1, at Westminster Hall, 135 East 4th Street in Delta. Day one of the workshop will cover canning basics and water bath canning procedures.

Attention, 8- to 13-year-olds! A Youth Tennis Blast Camp is being offered Aug. 5-8. The City of Delta, Bill Heddles Recreation Center and Christina Curtis are joining together to offer tennis instruction for boys and girls from 8 to 10 a.m.

Every hunting season brings novice mule deer hunters into the field, eager to learn and have a successful hunt. For inexperienced hunters who may not have a mentor, or experienced hunters who are looking for an edge, Colorado Parks and Wildlife and the Colorado Mule Deer Association will host a Mule Deer Hunting 101 class Wednesday, July 23.
