Timothy James De Haan died May 31, 2014, in Eckert. He was 62.

He was born in El Paso, Texas, Sept. 18, 1951, to James and Dorothy De Haan. The family moved to Boulder in 1956. He graduated from Fairview High School in 1969.

He received a doctorate in industrial psychology from Colorado State University.

He was a consultant in Pittsburgh, Pa., Broomfield and Eckert, where he moved in 1994. He retired in 2004.

Mr. De Haan enjoyed working on his farm and the quiet and the scenery of the Eckert area.

He is survived by his father, James De Haan; his sister, Michelle De Haan; and his nephew, Wyatt Olea.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Dorothy De Haan.

A service will be held at 2 p.m, Saturday, June 21, at Darrell Howe Mortuary, 1701 W. South Boulder Road, Lafayette.
