At the rising of the morning sun, Tuesday, June 17, 2014, Dorothy (Clock) Conkle left her loved ones at her longtime home here in Paonia and joined her beloved husband, Al; all her five Clock brothers and sisters-in-law; and many more loved ones — all in the presence of her most beloved Savior, Jesus Christ, in her brand new home in Glory.
There she has begun her eternal joy where there is no more pain, sorrow and death — only blissful life with the Lord.
She is already sorely missed by those she has left behind — her daughters, Verna Mae (Karl) Baker, Georgia (Jim) Hopper, Connie (Steve) Allyn; and son, Dick (Barbara) Conkle; also deeply missed by her 17 grandchildren and many more great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Also, Dorothy will be loved and remembered by her church family at Bible Center Church, her neighbors and all those whose lives she touched in the 97 years she lived in Paonia and the Ragged Mountain area.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Wednesday, June 25, at Bible Center Church in Paonia with her nephew, Rev. Steph Clock, officiating. Interment will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery.
The family suggests memorial contributions to be made in Dorothy’s memory to HopeWest Hospice, P.O. Box 24, Delta, CO 81416.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of Taylor Funeral Service and Crematory.
