Richard “Dick” Wilson McGuire Jr. died after a short illness Sept. 4, 2014, at University Hospital in Denver. He was 67.
Thomas J. Knight of Edmond, Okla., died suddenly of natural causes Sunday, Aug. 24, 2014, in Delta. He was 55.
He was born in Wichita, Kan., Aug. 30, 1958, to Hobart and Lenora Knight.
Mr. Knight graduated from Paonia High School in 1976 and received a bachelor of science degree in mining engineering from Colorado School of Mines in 1982.
Stella Labak died Aug. 27, 2014, at Horizons Care Center in Eckert. She was 93.
She was born Feb. 19, 1921, in Chicago to Polish immigrants Frank and Mary Zawislak. She was a lifelong Chicago resident.
She enjoyed spending time with her family, classical music, fine arts, history, traveling, Chicago’s lake front and museums and her Polish heritage. She was a renowned dressmaker and baker.
Travis Allin “T.A.” Mullin of Delta died Friday, Aug. 29, 2014. He was 97.
Mr. Mullin was born Sept. 6, 1916, in Hollis, Okla. He married Noma Snowden in 1935.
He is survived by his daughter-in-law, Virginia; five grandchildren, Toni, Kathy, Tim, Scott and Tammy; nine great-grandchildren; and 14 great-great-grandchildren.
Paul George Reed died Thursday, Aug. 28, 2014, at Delta County Memorial Hospital in Delta. He was 80.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
Mr. Reed was born in Moline, Ill., May 16, 1934, to Ray and Edna (Harmening) Reed. He spent his childhood in Long Beach, Calif., where he graduated from high school. He attended Rio Hondo College in Whittier, Calif.
William Thomas Long of Delta died Tuesday, Aug. 26, 2014, at Willow Tree Care Center in Delta. He was 82.
A celebration of life service was held Friday, Aug. 29, at Taylor Funeral Service Chapel in Delta with Pastor Tony Abbott officiating.
Mr. Long was born in Knoxville, Tenn., July 24, 1932, to Arnold and Gladys (Green) Long. He spent his childhood and attended school in Knoxville.
Warner L. Seely of Eckert died Aug. 20, 2014, at St. Mary’s Hospital in Grand Junction. He was 77.
A family service was held at his bedside prior to his death.
Mr. Seely was born in Arapahoe County May 13, 1937. He graduated from Littleton High School in 1955. He studied agro-nomy, animal husbandry and animal nutrition at Colorado A&M College (CSU).
JoAnn Grosshans died Friday, Aug. 22, 2014, at her home in Eckert. She was 80.

JoAnn Ray was born in McCoy July 16, 1934, to Charles and Josephine (Shrupp) Ray. She spent her childhood and attended school in McCoy. She attended business college in Denver.
