The Delta County Department of Health and Human Services announces that West Nile Virus continues to be detected in Delta County. Five samples of mosquitoes trapped in the area surrounding the City of Delta on Tuesday, July 22, tested positive for West Nile Virus, but no laboratory-confirmed cases of West Nile Virus in humans has been documented from persons residing in the county.

The West Nile Virus season is now at its peak. Residents are urged to take preventative measures against the virus.
