runawayThe Delta Police Department announced Thursday afternoon that a 14-year-old Delta girl who had been reported as a runaway has been found safely in another community.

On Wednesday, Sept. 3, the Delta Police Department issued a statement  that officers  had received additional information in reference to Abigayle "Abbie" Wietharn, 14, of Delta.  Abigayle was reported as a runaway / missing teen.  She was last seen on Sept. 1 at 205 Allison in Olathe, Colorado.  Abigayle is 5’3” about 110 pounds with blonde hair and blue eyes. She was last seen wearing jeans and a t-shirt with black and pink DC shoes.

In an update from the Delta Police Department at 3 p.m., Sept. 4, investigators have determined that Wietham is in the company of William "Billie" Mundell, 17, of Olathe (also reported as a runaway) and Julian Melchor-Zeferino, 13, of Olathe. They have no access to money and may be panhandling or begging for food and money. Clothing description for the boys is unknown. It is not known if they are in a vehicle at this point. An earlier reported green Pontiac Grand Am has been located and recovered in the Durango/Cortez area.

An hour later, the police announced the three has been found safe and were with "police in another city as of approximately 3:30 p.m."
