The Delta County Health and Human Services Department is serious about seeing that local children get the financial support they are entitled to from divorced or absent parents.
For the fourth year in a row, the county’s Child Support Enforecment Unit has received statewide recognition by attaining performance goals established by the federal government.
Albert Martinez is the unit’s supervisor. Also on staff are Ruby Loya, Maureen Waterrose, Kelli Fausett and Jaimie Thomason-Smiles.
The Enforcement Unit’s work is evaluated on the basis of four criteria. They are paternity establishment, caseload with orders, support paid, and cases in arrears with payment.
The award was displayed for the county commissioners during a recent work session.
