Norma Jean Treadwa

Norma Jean Treadway died suddenly Thursday, Jan. 28, 2016, at Delta County Memorial Hospital. She was 88.

She lived with her daughter Cathy in Delta.

She was born in Little Rock, Ark., July 18, 1927.

After graduating from Little Rock Central High School, she worked for Lewis and Norwood Insurance Company.

She married Cecil Treadway Dec. 26, 1946.

She worked in the drapery and upholstery department of the family business, Little Rock Carpet and Linoleum.

Mrs. Treadway was a Brownie Scout leader at Meadowcliff Elementary School and a library volunteer at Western Hills Elementary School.

She later moved with her husband to Bella Vista, Ark.

She enjoyed being a wife and mother, oil painting, golf, tennis and the Bentonville-Bella Vista Symphony Guild. She was a charter member of Bella Vista Republican Women.

Mrs. Treadway is survived by two daughters, Cathy (Brad) Percefull and Cindy (Tom) Alter.
