Ozella Shea died Saturday, Dec. 12, 2015, at her home in Delta. She was 83.
Mass of Christian burial will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 19, at St. Michael Catholic Church in Delta, with Father Richard Haldane officiating. Burial will follow in Delta City Cemetery.
Ozella Audell Allmon was born in Ulysses, Kan., April 15, 1932, to Robert and Cleo (Bever) Allmon. During her childhood the family moved to the Surface Creek area. She graduated from Delta High School in 1950.
On July 24, 1950, she married John "Jack" Shea in Aztec, N.M.
Mrs. Shea was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church, the Rosary and Altar Society, a bridge club and Cowbelles.
She enjoyed bowling, knitting, sewing, fishing and spending time with her family.
She is survived by her son, Steve (Becky) Shea of Delta; her daughters, Mary Shea of Delta and Margaret (Mitch) Harmon of Whitewood, S.D.; a brother, Doyle (Sandy) Allmon of Rifle; three sisters, Lola Marshman of Grand Junction, LaRee Cooper of Westcliffe and Roberta (Jim) Barrington of Windsor; five grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Shea was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Jack, in 2004; a son, John Shea; two daughters, Kay Montgomery and Marlene Shea; a grandson, Danny Montgomery; a granddaughter, Heather Albrecht; a great-granddaughter, Mary Albrecht; and a brother, Ernest Allmon.

At about 9:50 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 14, officers of the Delta Police Department were dispatched to a robbery reported at Arby's, located at 107 Gunnison River Drive. An extensive search of the area was conducted and the suspect was not located.
The suspect was reported to have walked into Arby's and after a brief conversation with an employee, was able to leave the store with a small amount of cash and coins.
