Incorporated in 2007 and engaged in some of Colorado's largest conservation, public lands, and community campaigns of the last decade, Mountain West Strategies, Ltd. has now opened an office in Washington, D.C.
Mountain West Strategies -- based in Paonia, Colorado -- specializes in public and stakeholder outreach, campaign and communication strategy, grassroots tactics, and community engagement.
"This is an exciting expansion of the services we provide our partners and clients," said Pete Kolbenschlag, founder and principal of Mountain West Strategies. "Not only will we be able to uniquely represent western Colorado businesses, community organizations and associations in the nation's capital. We will also be able to better offer select national clients an on-the-ground presence in the red, blue, and purple-hued counties of a key bellwether state."
Pete Kolbenschlag founded Mountain West Strategies as a boutique consulting firm specializing in community-based advocacy strategies. Since then it has provided strategic guidance, grassroots results, campaign and communication management and support, event planning, government affairs, and other specialized services to more than 20 campaigns, organizations and businesses around the United States, with the majority of that work focused in and around western Colorado.
