The Town of Paonia is holding a surplus property sale at 38784 Highway 133 (approximately one half mile west of Delicious Orchards), this Friday, Dec. 18. Auction preview begins at 9 a.m., with auctioneer John Cunningham starting the bidding process at 10 a.m. Due to a short list of items, the auction isn't going to last very long, according to town manager Jane Berry. "We don't have a lot of stuff, but we've got a lot of really cool stuff."

Among the items are bicycles, computer equipment, two-way radios, office chairs, trailers, two model 2002 pickups, a 2002 Ford Explorer, a 1977 International dump truck, a 1970 Kaiser 6x6 truck formerly used by the U.S. Forest Service, a Snow Cat, a 2001 Polaris Sportsman ATV, a 500-gallon water filtration pressure tank and sets of three water filtration pressure tanks, corrugated steel sheeting and rolls of chain link fencing in various lengths. Everything is being sold "as is."

An auction flyer with sales terms and photos is available at townofpaonia.com under the heading of "News," and at cunninghamauctionservice.com under "Sale Bill" and "Photos."
