Our Delta Health and Wellness Center - Family Clinic is very appreciative of our recognition (in last week's paper) for quality in the health services and the way we do business. As the administrator and provider, I can say with confidence that the recognition is because of our fine staff and incredible board of directors. You see, we are a 501c3 non-profit started six years ago by some very foresighted women in Delta County. Our longtime employee Donna Austin has lived through the thick and thin. She started as a volunteer and has hung in there with us. Carlotte Pagone served six years on the board and did our landscaping. Other board members include Pam Bliss, Jackie Parks, Leticia Corbasson, Mariah Emond, Anne Gallegos and Rena Eaton. Business Options Medical Billing (Montrose) has been very involved in our survival. Our bookkeeper Patti Barela is awesome too.
Our income is based on what Medicaid pays and donations. On any one month our Medicaid patients can be 56-72 percent of our income. If we were a private office, $8,000-$11,000 more would be earned, so this amount we consider our gift to the community. Many thanks for publishing the recognition.
