The Apostle Paul writes in the book of Colossians 2, verse 8, "See to it that no one takes you captive through hollow and deceptive philosophy, which depends on human tradition and the basic principles of this world rather than on Christ." (NIV)

Today, these words from Paul ring truer than ever. The world community, especially the United States of America, has been working overtime to persuade the church, through deception, to adapt the Holy Bible with non-biblical lifestyles. Several churches have divided right down the middle because there are those who feel they can live outside of the written word of God. More than this, many who have departed from the Bible are now taking the sacred word of God out of context whenever they want to justify their own way of life. However, to defy and misuse God's word is a deliberate act of disobedience. We all have choices that we make in this life, right or wrong, but the word of God remains unchanged and his laws for living right remain the same. God's word is holy, belonging solely to him and not man.

In the book of 2 Timothy, verses 16-17, the apostle Paul writes, "Every scripture is God breathed (given by his inspiration) and profitable for instruction, for reproof and conviction of sin, for correction of error and discipline in obedience and for training in righteousness in holy living, in conformity to God's will in thought, purpose and action. So that the man may be completed and proficient, well fitted and thoroughly equipped for every good work." (Amplified version)

The common statement of rejecting the truth comes from either non-believers or those who claim to be believers in Jesus Christ, but do not accept the Bible as the living, breathing word of God. Even so, we are commanded to love those that despise the word of God and would exchange it for a life. The truth, however, will always prevail along with God's word.

2 Peter 1:19-21 states, "And we have the word of the prophets made more certain, and you will do well to pay attention to it as to a light shining in a dark place until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts. Above all, you must understand that no prophecy of scripture came about by the prophet's own interpretation. For prophecy never had its origin in the will of man, but men spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit." (NIV)

The word of God does not make apologies to anyone, for it is pure and infallible. One cannot decide which part of the Bible they will accept and which part they won't. Most born-again Christians have no problem accepting the entire Bible as God's spoken word. My question to all of you is this: Will you accept the Holy Bible as the whole word of God?
