Longtime Delta resident Paul Cook died Tuesday, July 5, 2016, at HopeWest in Grand Junction. He was 10 days shy of his 90th birthday.
Memorial services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Aug. 29, at Taylor Funeral Service Chapel in Delta.
He is survived by four children, Nancy Tharp of Orlando, Fla., David (Zandra) Cook of Chicago, Ill., Lela Howard of Denver and Linn (George) Cook of Delta; three stepdaughters, Margaret "Maggie" (Gene) Byrne of Palisade, Beverly Cox of Lander, Wyo., and Judy (John) Stratton of Grand Junction; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

At about 9:50 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 14, officers of the Delta Police Department were dispatched to a robbery reported at Arby's, located at 107 Gunnison River Drive. An extensive search of the area was conducted and the suspect was not located.
The suspect was reported to have walked into Arby's and after a brief conversation with an employee, was able to leave the store with a small amount of cash and coins.
