Peace Circle has awarded $1,000 scholarships to six Hotchkiss-area graduating seniors. Scholars are (front row, left to right) Cara Littlefield, Lacey Rodriguez and Joe Nault; (back row) Dylan Ashley, Parker Katzdorn and C.J. Braddy. Scholarships and other local ministry efforts are funded by Peace Circle's "Wear House" thrift store in Hotchkiss Memorial Hall and its silent auction, held annually in conjunction with the Hotchkiss Holiday Art, Craft and Business Fair. Members recently observed the 40th anniversary of Peace Circle's formation within the Hotchkiss Community United Methodist Church. Peace Circle was honored as 2014 Citizens of the Year by the Hotchkiss Chamber of Commerce.
