The Hotchkiss boys scored 49 points to finish fifth at the annual Hotchkiss Invitational track and field meet.

Due to ongoing upgrades to their home track, the Bulldogs held their meet at Delta.

In a field of more than 60 competitors, junior Colton Peebles posted a personal best time of 24.25 seconds to place third in the 200-meter dash.

Peebles, Zach Allen, Caesar Camacho and Jace Peebles won bronze in the 4x200 meter relay with a time of 1:38.89, and in the 4x400, Colton Peebles, Jace Peebles, Allen and Sam Rodriguez won bronze with a time of 3:44.84.

Allen brought home the only gold medal for the Bulldogs, clearing 6 feet, 2 inches to win the high jump. After a year away from the triple jump, Allen bettered his performance by more than eight inches, hitting a mark of 37 feet, 7 inches to place fifth.
