Cedaredge resident Peggy Sutton died Oct. 16, 2017, after a massive stroke. She was 78.
She was born Dec. 19, 1938, in Missouri and moved to Rocky Ford when she was young. She spent most of her life in the Colorado Springs area where she worked at Air Academy High School as a business manager and raised four children. After retirement she moved to Cedaredge.
Mrs. Sutton enjoyed being outdoors and reading.
She is survived by her children, Donna (Kipp) Cox of Madison, Wis., Gregg (Karen) Sutton of Parker, Mike Sutton of Cedaredge and Scott Sutton of Eagle; her granddaughters, Micah Sutton of Atlanta, Ga., and Emma Cox of Madison, Wis.; and her brothers, Larry Barksdale and Hugh Barksdale.
She was preceded in death by her ex-husband, Richard Sutton of Colorado Springs.
A memorial service will be held at the Delta Church of Christ at a later date.

On Tuesday, Sept. 11, the Delta County Board of Commissioners called a special meeting to consider the board's response to the Bureau of Land Management's preliminary Environmental Assessment (EA) concerning the lease parcels proposed for the December BLM sale.
Several people from the North Fork were present to provide input.
