Doctors are special people who make the world a better place. Celebrating the science of healing and the art of caring, with tireless dedication and professionalism -- it is an honor to celebrate Delta County's medical providers on National Doctor's Day, commented Delta County Memorial Hospital CEO Jason Cleckler.
National Doctor's Day commemorates the nation's doctors, who have dedicated themselves to public service by helping to ensure the good health of our country. Eudora Almond, wife of Sir Charles Almond, celebrated the first Doctor's Day in Winder, Ga., on March 30, 1933. President George Bush designated Doctor's Day March 30, 1991, to celebrate the sacrifices and contributions made by our nation's doctors.
"We are grateful for the many members of the DCMH medical staff for the high quality of care and services that they provide to Delta County families," Cleckler said.
"Thank you for all of your hard work and dedication, for all you do in sharing your skills and expertise, your care and compassion, and for making a difference each and every day."
