The Town of Hotchkiss recently completed the final phase of a multi-year project upgrading sanitary and storm water sewer in the town. Pinon Drive on the west end of Hotchkiss was the last work to be finished. The project was designed by the town with the project bid to multiple contractors, and awarded to Tribble and Sons Construction as low bidder. On behalf of the town, I commend Seth, Jake Dick, and all the Tribble team for their strong work ethic, attention to detail, and especially for their safe work culture. The Pinon Drive project had difficult unstable soils, old drainage lines, and lots of water to contend with during construction. Tribble Construction handled it all and came in on time and under budget and we all have a great street to last many years.
I would also like to thank United Engineering and all the staff at Town Hall for making this project a success. Hotchkiss is fortunate to have good people that make this community stronger. Look for a new 500,000-gallon culinary water storage tank project in 2018 and a new public safety officer.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year's,
Wendell A. Koontz
