The diagram on the left represents the blueprints for the proposed Hotchkiss High School/North Fork Pool and Parks Recreation District baseball/softball fields provided by Mesa Engineering and Surveying Co., Inc., in Montrose. The diagram was too large to run with last week's NFPPR survey story submitted by Tamie Meck.
The NFPPR has partnered with Hotchkiss Home Plate Baseball Association to build the baseball and softball complex to be located adjacent to the North Fork Pool on Bulldog Street below Hotchkiss High School.
Two baseball fields are featured on the right with two softball fields on the left. Restrooms and a playground are illustrated in the upper left side of the diagram.
On Dec. 4 Delta County Commissioners Doug Atchley, Mark Roeber and Don Suppes denied the application of Paonia Holdings, LLC for a change of land use for the property at 41322 Highway 133, with an adjacent residence at 41402 Highway 133 and an ancillary property at 16180 Stevens Gulch Road.
The property is owned by Bowie Resources, LLC, and was formerly used as a coal load-out site.
