RARE, Toaster to play at Friday's street dance

Enjoy live music from RARE and Toaster Band during the street dance Friday, July 28. East 4th Street will be closed between Main and Meeker for the dance, a barbecue and a beer garden. In the Delta County Independent parking lot, Delta's first annual pinup competition will be taking place.

These events are all free and everyone is welcome. Please leave your skateboards, bicycles and dogs at home.

RARE takes the stage from 6 to 8 p.m. This local band covers an eclectic blend of artists and songs, as well as introducing some originals. The local band is comprised of vocalist/keys/guitarist Emily Paige Wray, lead guitarist Jeremy Lee Ross, bassist Terry Covell and drummer Christian Eggstaff. They bring fun RARE originals and dancy covers with their signature flair! On Saturday night, RARE will be at RJ's Steakhouse, 2323 S. Grand Mesa Drive, Cedaredge, from 8 to 11 p.m.

Toaster is an in-your-face rock band from Grand Junction featuring Jamie Gaines, vocals; Kellen Michael, guitars; Steven Davis, bass; and Steve McGarry, drums. The band plays from 9 to 11 p.m. Friday.
