Raymond Rowland turns 100

Raymond Rowland, former resident of Rogers Mesa in Hotchkiss, will turn 100 years old Feb. 6.

Upon his retirement from principal and superintendent of schools in Kansas in 1978, Rowland and his wife Wilma moved to a fruit orchard on Rogers Mesa where they resided until Wilma's death in 2013. They were married 72 years.

His children are hosting an open house Saturday, Feb. 6, at the home of his daughter, Kathy, 15150 Granada Rd., Leawood, KS 66224, where he now resides. He enjoys receiving cards and letters.
