Red Hats host care center tea

Red Hat Dolls of the Valley met on Thursday, March 24, at 2 p.m. for a tea.

The tea was hosted by the Paonia Care Center and queen bee Betty Portman. Red Hats were joined by ladies at the care center who were encouraged to wear red hats for the occasion. The tables were decorated with red and purple tablecloths accented by purple napkins and red plates. Colorful individual teapots were provided. Serving cookies for the care center were Tami Harper and Apryl Cecil. Red Hats attending were Bobbie Selk, Joyce Chapdelaine, Joyce Holybee, Jean Flotho, Lupe Garcia, Claudia King and Betty Portman. Portman has volunteered for many years at the care center teaching crafts.
