Region 10 - ADRC offer educational programs

Region 10 - Aging and Disability Resources for Colorado (ADRC) is a six-county collaboration of businesses, community members and caregivers that serves and works with the aging and disabled populations. Goals are to enhance programs, reduce gaps and increase access to resources. Anyone serving these populations is encouraged to join the meetings alternating between Delta and Montrose. The next meeting is Oct. 12, 9:30 a.m., at Grand Mesa Oncology, 1501 E. 3rd Street. For more information, call Eva Veatch at 765-3127.

Why There Is No Such Thing as a Simple Will: The Basics of Estate Planning. Learn about wills, trusts, estate plans and common issues that make something simple, complicated. Learn differences between probate/non-probate assets. How trusts protect heirs and assets and how powers of attorney ensure your wishes are followed. Sponsored by Region 10/Brown and Brown P.C. Healthier Living Colorado - Chronic Disease Self-Management Workshop. These evidenced-based programs teach techniques in working with your doctor, communication, managing medications and symptoms, exercise programs, relaxation and dealing with emotions. The instructors are Amy Rowan and Caitlin Williams. Class meets every Wednesday, Sept. 28--Nov. 2, 1 to 3:30 p.m. at Grand Mesa Oncology Center in Delta.
