The Center for Mental Health is pleased to announce the Colorado Association for School-Based Health Care (CASBHC) has chosen Renee Joyce, therapist at A KidZ Clinic in Delta, as the recipient of the 2017 CASBHC Inspiration Award for Outstanding School-Based Health Center Behavioral Health Provider.
Joyce is an employee of the Center for Mental Health and provides care as part of an integrated model of care with primary, dental and mental health care delivered to students and children ages 0 to 21 at A KidZ Clinic on the campus of the Delta Family Center, 360 E. 8th Street in Delta. A KidZ Clinic is a school-based integrated health clinic providing accessible and affordable care options for children. The clinic was established in partnership with Delta County School District, the Center for Mental Health, Community Dental Clinic and Pediatric Associates.
Joyce is a pediatric mental health therapist and a marriage and family therapy candidate. She graduated from Regis University in Denver with specialized clinical training in child and adolescent therapy, grief counseling, and play therapy. Joyce offers school-based and community treatment services including groups, individual and family therapy or workshops and presentations.
On Dec. 4 Delta County Commissioners Doug Atchley, Mark Roeber and Don Suppes denied the application of Paonia Holdings, LLC for a change of land use for the property at 41322 Highway 133, with an adjacent residence at 41402 Highway 133 and an ancillary property at 16180 Stevens Gulch Road.
The property is owned by Bowie Resources, LLC, and was formerly used as a coal load-out site.
