Renee Porter

Longtime Delta resident Renee H. Porter died March 17, 2017, at her home. She was 75.

Visitation will be held Friday, March 24, from 6-7 p.m. at Taylor Funeral Service Chapel in Delta. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 25, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Delta. Interment will follow at Delta City Cemetery.

Mrs. Porter was born on Aug. 2, 1941, in Ogden, Utah, to Wray and Marie Jane (Henry) Harbison. She spent her childhood in Ogden, Utah, and Quincy, Wash. She graduated from Ogden High School in 1959. She had been a Delta resident for 30 years.

In 1959 she married Warren Little. They had five children. He died in November 2010.

In October 1980, she married Lamar Porter. They had two children.

Mrs. Porter was a member of the LDS church, a book club for 20 years and a writing club. She enjoyed reading and writing stories, sewing, scrapbooking, crocheting, cooking, gardening and spending time with family.

She is survived by three sons, Nate (Melaine) Little of Mesa, Ariz., Troy (Anita) Porter of South Jordan, Utah, and Clark Porter of Salt Lake City, Utah; four daughters, Keali Linnell of Delta, Kami (Marty) Swann of Montrose, Megan (Javier) Molina of Chandler, Ariz., and Melanie Porter of Phoenix, Ariz.; one sister, Zaila Tait of Sunset, Utah; 15 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by Warren Little; her husband, Lamar Porter; two sons, Lindsay Little and Ian Porter; and son-in-law, Earl Linnell.
