A cool head, a firm handshake, a depth of experience, and the confidence in knowing that he means what he says. Attributes that Commissioner Mark Roeber has demonstrated for many years. I know when Mark gives his word that is a fact, not fiction.
I support Commissioner Roeber for many reasons. His service and work with diverse boards and organizations including Colorado Cattleman's Association, the Gunnison Basin Roundtable (GBRT), USFS, and the BLM has allowed him to develop personal contacts and experience that is employed for the betterment of Delta County. I can personally attest to Mark's ability to analyze detail and bring common sense solutions to fruition. Many times when we served on the GBRT I saw Mark work through competing funding and political positions to develop a logical and pragmatic solution. If you want a wild-eyed and unrealistic management of Delta County then Commissioner Roeber is not your candidate. However if you want a candidate with actual knowledge, experience, and skills to represent us, then vote for Mark.
And it's not news that we in Delta County have challenging times ahead. It is imperative that the county budget is managed with experience and a lifelong perspective. My associations with Mark prove to me he is the right person with the right skills. During Mark's first term we have seen projects he champions to benefit all the citizens of Delta County like funding broadband in our communities, supporting all the diverse agricultural enterprises, and representing Delta County at the state and federal levels. Delta County has started the Master Plan revision, upgraded the county fair facilities, and added recreational opportunities like the new disc golf course at his direction. All while keeping the county finances in order.
In closing I would like to thank Commissioner Hovde for all his years of hard work. I appreciate the effort he has put into his service to our communities. Good luck to Mr. Don Suppes. You know I have great respect and support for you and your family.
