Ronald G. Ayers died Aug. 22, 2015. He was 60.
He was born Feb. 23, 1955, to Ronald and Alma Ayers.
Mr. Ayers graduated from Union High School in 1973. He was a state-ranked cross-country runner.
He ran Ol' Ron's Butcher Shop for over 20 years. He was a township supervisor and roads master for Summit Township in Potter County, Pa., for 26 years.
He was an outdoorsman. He enjoyed hunting, and conversation and storytelling over morning coffee.
Mr. Ayers is survived by his parents, Ronald and Alma Ayers of Paonia; three children, Stacey (TJ) Persons of Uncasville, Conn., Gary (Lisa) Ayers of Lewisburg, Pa., and Katey (BJ) Fleischer of Saegertown, Pa.; his siblings, Rick (Carol) Ayers of Couders-port, Pa., Randy (Kathleen) Ayers of Starford, Pa., and Eva Ayers of Paonia; his grandchildren, Joshua Ayers, Isabella Persons, Gabriel, Carlotte and Liam Ayers, and Wyatt and Wesley Fleischer; and extended family.
Private services will be held. A memorial dinner will be held at American Legion Post #192 at a later date.
