Rose Radke died Saturday, July 23, 2016, at Colorow Care Center. She was 87.
Rose Marion Schwartz was born Nov. 23, 1928, to Richard and Ethel (Shayhan) Schwartz. She lived in Anaheim, Calif., before moving to Montrose in 2010. While in California she was an active member of Victory Baptist Church in Anaheim. She enjoyed singing in the choir and helping with vacation Bible School. In Montrose, she was a member of Victory Baptist Church. She enjoyed bowling, going on cruises and traveling. Her most memorable trip was to Israel with her sister, Myrt.
She is survived by her children, Marion Fisher of Las Vegas, Nev., Debra (Don) Bradley of Olathe and Kathy (Bill) McGadden of California; a sister, Myrt Tate of Corpus Christi, Texas; stepchildren, Wanda Mitchell of California, Wyatt Radke of California and Scott Radke of Ohio; seven grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; five stepgrandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by two husbands, Charles Smith and Lane Radke.
Services are scheduled in Las Vegas, Nev.; interment will take place in Ontario, Calif.
Arrangements are being handled by Sunset Mesa Funeral Directors.
At about 9:50 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 14, officers of the Delta Police Department were dispatched to a robbery reported at Arby's, located at 107 Gunnison River Drive. An extensive search of the area was conducted and the suspect was not located.
The suspect was reported to have walked into Arby's and after a brief conversation with an employee, was able to leave the store with a small amount of cash and coins.
