Delta resident Ruth Doll died Tuesday, Jan. 10, 2017, at Horizons Care Center. She was 87.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 21, at Garnet Mesa Baptist Church in Delta with Pastor Jerry Hilterbrand officiating. Interment will follow in Mesa View Cemetery. Visitation and viewing will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. Friday, Jan. 20, at Taylor Funeral Service Chapel in Delta.
Ruth Aileen Hunt was born in Indianapolis, Ind., Dec. 6, 1929, to Albert and Bessie (Waltz) Hunt. She spent her childhood and attended school in Indianapolis.
On Sept. 27, 1950, she married Jack Doll in Indianapolis.
She moved to Delta from Moore, Okla., 30 years ago. She was a member of Garnet Mesa Baptist Church and enjoyed painting.
She is survived by her children, John Doll of Delta, Janet Decker of Knightown, Ind., Jerry Doll, Debbie Doll and Judy (Denver) Doll Campbell, all of Indianapolis, and Bonnie (Les) Mobley of Gosport, Ind.; a sister, Louis Johnson of Fort Myers, Fla.; 19 grandchildren; 50 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack; a son, Thomas Doll; a grandson, David Doll; and a great-granddaughter, MaKency Jewell.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Unit at Horizons Care Center, 11411 Hwy. 65, Eckert, CO 81418.
