High school girls looking forward to prom should plan on attending a Gown Extravaganza Saturday, March 19, in the basement of the AppleShed Gallery in Cedaredge. But this event isn't just for prom -- the collection features over 1,000 elegant dresses suitable for women of all ages and sizes. There are dresses for mothers of the bride, bridesmaids, cocktail parties ... even some wedding gowns. All are priced at just $40, with the proceeds being distributed among the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, ARC of West Central Colorado and the Delta High School ASTRA Club.
The event is sponsored by the AppleShed, 2nd Edition and Réve Photography of Cedaredge, and will run from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. March 19.
You're invited to stop by the AppleShed for a preview. If you find a dress you like, you can ask for it to be set aside for purchase March 19.
At their March 5 meeting Commissioners Doug Atchley, Mark Roeber and Don Suppes made two appointments to the county planning commission. Steve Shea was reappointed for a three-year term.
