Photo submitted Cedaredge students and parents enjoy the first day of practice of the Shot Slingers youth trap shooting team.
Working with Peter Grimson of Cedaredge High School, the Delta Trap Club is developing a scholastic clay target shooting program for youth in the area.
Delta Trap Club has agreed to provide its facility to this group for educational, practice and competition events. Club members are excited to bring the program to this area.
Like any sports activity, there is a cost to participate and compete. Scholastic youth shooters will need protective eyewear, hearing protection and to help with the costs of the entry fees, ammunition and clay targets needed to practice and compete.
To date, monetary donations have been received from Corkey Wyman's family and friends of California and Eckert, Colorado Creative Education & Research of Hotchkiss, Tayshen Automotive of Delta, and Jan Quick of Cedaredge.
Any monies donated to the program will be welcomed and much appreciated, and shall be used only in the operations of this program.
Please send your donations to: Delta Trap Club, Inc., P.O. Box 1061, Delta, CO 81416.
