Teens, learn defensive driving

"Alive at 25," a defensive driving course for young drivers, is offered to drivers ages 15-24. A Colorado State Patrol trooper will provide approximately four hours of classroom instruction designed to prevent traffic violations, collisions and/or fatalities.

Enjoy a weekend of Nordic ski racing

The Colorado Mesa University Sprints will be held at Skyway on Grand Mesa on Saturday, Jan. 28. Citizens are welcome to join this collegiate invitational skate style race. A 1k time trial starts at 11 a.m. followed by seeded elimination heats. Registration is prior to the race.

Blood draw, health fair registration is now open

Delta County residents can mark their 2017 calendars for early blood draws and health fairs in Paonia, Cedaredge and Delta, according to Patti Kalahar, manager of education/marketing for Delta County Memorial Hospital. Lions Club members in Delta, Cedaredge and Paonia and DCMH volunteers will be partnering in the annual community health fair events again this year.
