Senior CommUnity meals are served at four dining sites in Delta County -- Cedaredge Community Center (Monday-Thursday), Delta Community Center (Monday-Friday), Hotchkiss Senior Center (Monday-Thursday) and Paonia Senior Citizen Center (Monday, Wednesday and Friday). Meals on Wheels are also delivered from each location. Thursday, Feb. 1 -- Ham and beans, cottage cheese and pears, cornbread, parsley carrots and oatmeal raisin cookie.
Friday, Feb. 2 -- Roast pork loin, whipped sweet potatoes, buttered cauliflower, whole wheat roll and peach cobbler.
Monday, Feb. 5 -- Beef, cheese and rice burrito with green sauce, lettuce, tomato and onion, refried beans and churro.
Tuesday, Feb. 6 -- Beef and sausage lasagna, tossed salad with tomato, green beans, garlic breadstick and tropical fruit.
Wednesday, Feb. 7 -- Roast beef, kidney bean salad, mashed potatoes with gravy, California blend veggies, homemade wheat roll and pineapple right-side-up cake.
Thursday, Feb. 8 -- Shepherd's pie, honey fruit salad, cabbage and carrots, wheat roll and cherry crisp with vanilla ice cream.
Friday, Feb. 9 -- Ham and broccoli casserole, orange spinach berry salad, peas and pearl onions, cornbread and baked apple slices.
Monday, Feb. 12 -- Potato crusted cod with tartar sauce, fish-house coleslaw, potato wedges, wheat roll and blueberry crisp.
Tuesday, Feb. 13 -- Salisbury steak with gravy, mashed potatoes, seasoned tomato wedges, bell pepper, carrot and onion blend, whole wheat roll and deluxe banana pudding.
Wednesday, Feb. 14 -- Fettuccine alfredo, garlic bread, Italian chicken breast, candied bacon brussels sprouts and chocolate oatmeal no-bake cookie.
Thursday, Feb. 15 -- Roast turkey with cranberry sauce, green leafy salad, mashed potatoes with gravy, California blend veggies, whole wheat roll and applesauce cake.
Friday, Feb. 16 -- Chili con carne with cheddar cheese and diced onion, tossed salad with tomato wedge, cornbread and ice cream.
Monday, Feb. 19 -- Spaghetti with meat sauce, Parmesan cheese on side, tossed salad with tomato, Italian veggies, zucchini, tomatoes and onions, and pineapple.
Tuesday, Feb. 20 -- Chicken enchilada casserole, Spanish rice, hot black bean salad and pineapple tidbits.
Wednesday, Feb. 21 -- Beef stew with potatoes and carrots, celery and onions, mandarin spinach salad, whole wheat roll and honey fruit dessert.
Thursday, Feb. 22 -- Chicken noodle casserole, marinated carrot salad, broccoli, wheat roll and tropical fruit mix.
Friday, Feb. 23 -- Baked ham, oven browned potatoes, buttered broccoli, confetti salad, sweet potato roll and pumpkin pie with whipped topping.
Monday, Feb. 26 -- Pepperoni and beef pizza on homemade crust, calico vegetable salad, zucchini, tomatoes and onions, and pineapple.
Tuesday, Feb. 27 -- BBQ pork on bun, potato wedges, pineapple coleslaw, southern baked beans and ice cream.
Wednesday, Feb. 28 -- Beef tips with mushroom sauce over brown rice, green beans, V8 juice, breadstick, peaches and PBOK cookie.
On Tuesday, Sept. 11, the Delta County Board of Commissioners called a special meeting to consider the board's response to the Bureau of Land Management's preliminary Environmental Assessment (EA) concerning the lease parcels proposed for the December BLM sale.
Several people from the North Fork were present to provide input.
