Senior CommUnity meals are served at four dining sites in Delta County -- Cedaredge Community Center (Monday-Thursday), Delta Community Center (Monday-Friday), Hotchkiss Senior Center (Monday-Thursday) and Paonia Senior Citizen Center (Monday, Wednesday and Friday). Meals on Wheels are also delivered from each location. The menu through Jan. 31 follows:
Monday, Jan. 2 -- Spaghetti with meat sauce, mixed greens salad, broccoli, garlic bread and gingerbread with lemon sauce.
Tuesday, Jan. 3 -- Italian chicken breast and thighs, potatoes O'Brien, spinach and cheese salad, stewed tomatoes, rye roll and apple crisp.
Wednesday, Jan. 4 -- Roast beef, mashed potatoes and gravy, pickled beet and onion salad, chuckwagon vegetable blend, wheat roll and cake.
Thursday, Jan. 5 -- Chicken parmesan over spaghetti, tossed salad, winter blend vegetables, wheat roll and sunset yogurt dessert.
Friday, Jan. 6 -- Cheeseburger, lettuce/tomato/onion, baked sweet potato fries, crunchy garden slaw, green beans and deluxe banana pudding.
Monday, Jan. 9 -- Savory herb chicken thighs, brown rice, tossed salad, peas and carrots, Italian bread and Emerald Isle salad.
Tuesday, Jan. 10 -- Pepper steak on brown rice, Oriental vegetables, egg drop soup, French bread, mandarin oranges and bananas.
Wednesday, Jan. 11 -- Tuna noodle casserole, carrot fruit salad, fiesta blend vegetables, wheat roll and bread pudding.
Thursday, Jan. 12 -- Roast turkey, stuffing, apple gravy, orange-glazed carrots, whole wheat rolls, orange wedge and pineapple right-side-up cake.
Friday, Jan. 13 -- Chicken enchilada casserole, Spanish rice, mandarin spinach salad, corn and ice cream with chocolate sauce.
Monday, Jan. 16 -- Ham loaf, baked potato, kidney bean salad, peas, orange wedge and lemon pie cookie bar.
Tuesday, Jan. 17 -- Ground beef stroganoff, egg noodles, corn, tossed salad, rye roll and fruit cocktail.
Wednesday, Jan. 18 -- Chicken pot pie, onion roll, beet and onion salad and sliced peaches.
Thursday, Jan. 19 -- Chili con carne with onions and cheddar cheese, pea and cheese salad, cornbread and creamy fruit mix dessert.
Friday, Jan. 20 -- Sloppy joe on a whole wheat bun, potato salad, broccoli and apple cobbler.
Monday, Jan. 23 -- Paprika chicken, creamy brown rice with mushrooms, orange-glazed carrots, cheesy vegetable soup and peach crisp.
Tuesday, Jan. 24 -- Beef stew, cottage cheese and pineapple, rye roll and honey fruit dessert.
Wednesday, Jan. 25 -- Hot ham and Swiss sandwich, tomato soup, Italian vegetable pasta salad, oven-browned potatoes and fruit cocktail.
Thursday, Jan. 26 -- Liver and onions or beef patty, mashed potatoes with gravy, tossed salad, vegetable blend, oatmeal roll and fresh orange.
Friday, Jan. 27 -- Meat loaf with tomato glaze, mashed potatoes and gravy, coleslaw, Scandinavian vegetables and sliced pears.
Monday, Jan. 30 -- Swedish meatballs, egg noodles, three-bean salad, broccoli, French bread and angel food cake with strawberries.
Tuesday, Jan. 31 -- Beef soft tacos, tomato cucumber salad, fiesta blend vegetables, Spanish rice and strawberry gelatin dessert.
