Photo submitted Enjoying the warm Colorado sunshine during a wintry season in slick rock country is only one of the delightful adventures the Senior Hikers group finds on their regular excursions into local landscapes.

The Cedaredge Senior Hikers have been enjoying the pleasures and wonders of local geography recently, venturing from desert canyon to mountain snow with the changing of seasons.

"The senior hiking group continues to hike in our beautiful canyon country almost every Wednesday throughout the winter," said Jude Keica, a member of the group.

"We recently traveled to Fruita to enjoy McInnis Canyons, and we also saw big horn sheep while hiking in a canyon just west of Delta.

"On Monday and Friday, we met to enjoy snowshoeing and cross country skiing on Grand Mesa," she added.

The group is making plans for upcoming outings as well. "In January, we will have our annual hot dog roast and maybe some rock climbing," Keica said.

Anyone wanting more information about the Cedaredge Senior Hikers and wanting to join in the free fun activities of the group is encouraged to call Keica at 856-7331.

"Living here you can do it all," she said.
