The Shelter Shoppe Volunteer of the month for March is Peg, who not only volunteers at the shop but is also a dog walker for the shelter itself.

To say she is a busy lady is an understatement. Her work at the Shelter Shoppe is one afternoon a week but she is a frequent, 'drop in' to help with moving merchandise, sorting donations and many other tasks. In addition, Peg is out there walking the shelter's little homeless furry pals.

Peg is one of the outstanding volunteers who has worked to promote animal welfare in this community by giving her time and talents and her energy to keep the shelter going and to make sure the animals are well cared for and loved. Her contributions are numerous, from her tireless energy to keep the Shoppe stocked with high quality merchandise, to working in support of the Crock Pot for Critters event held in February each year.

Without Peg's help, the Shoppe and the Shelter itself would be a little less bright. Stop by the Shoppe on Friday afternoons to see Peg and congratulate her. While you are there, be sure to check out the many sales and delightful new spring items. And don't forget to visit the shelter itself to see our animals that need forever homes. Your love given to them will be returned a hundred fold.
