Shirley Deutsch of Denver died Tuesday, Sept. 22, 2015, in Longmont. She was 79.
A funeral service was held Saturday, Sept. 26, at Taylor Funeral Service Chapel in Delta. Interment followed at Mesa View Cemetery.
Shirley Jean Holman was born June 21, 1936, to Donald and Myrtle (Holmes) Holman. She spent her childhood in and around Hotchkiss, graduating from Hotchkiss High School in 1954.
On May 5, 1954, she married Eldon Dunn in Oklahoma. They had four sons. Eldon died in 1960. She married E. Kale Deutsch Nov. 9, 1962, in Hotchkiss. He died in July 2005.
Mrs. Deutsch enjoyed her family and friends, traveling to see her sons, sightseeing, Sunday drives, crocheting, camping, horseback riding and trail rides.
She is survived by her sons, Donald (Marie) Dunn of Aurora, Byron (Sheryl) Dunn of Jacksonville, Fla., Roger (Connie) Dunn of Townsend, Mont., and Val (Sue) Deutsch of Bethel Springs, Tenn.; two brothers-in-law, Kay (Mary) Dunn of Helper, Utah, and Emmett (Pauline) Dunn of Delta; three sisters-in-law, Michelle Dunn of Lake Charles, La., Betty (Charles) Klaseen of Crawford and Bernita (Donald) Dove of Grand Junction; 12 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Keith Dunn and Kale Deutsch; a son, Kendall Dunn; a brother-in-law, Kenneth Dunn; and two sisters-in-law, Dixie Filener and Donna Buell.
Taylor Funeral Service and Crematory handled the arrangements.

At about 9:50 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 14, officers of the Delta Police Department were dispatched to a robbery reported at Arby's, located at 107 Gunnison River Drive. An extensive search of the area was conducted and the suspect was not located.
The suspect was reported to have walked into Arby's and after a brief conversation with an employee, was able to leave the store with a small amount of cash and coins.
