Bill Heddles Recreation Center is offering public swim lessons at a variety of days and times. All classes are taught by American Red Cross certified instructors. The cost is $28 per child for Saturday sessions and $40 for Tuesday/Thursday or Monday/Wednesday sessions, due at registration.
Lessons are available for ages 6 months - 16 years. Adult learn-to-swim programs are also available at various times of the year. Private swim lessons are offered year around with new sessions starting every other month beginning in January.

On Tuesday, Sept. 11, the Delta County Board of Commissioners called a special meeting to consider the board's response to the Bureau of Land Management's preliminary Environmental Assessment (EA) concerning the lease parcels proposed for the December BLM sale.
