Sovereign citizens: Guilt by association?

I read the article in the DCI about the "sovereign citizen" label. I do not know any of the organizers of the meeting held on the subject. I do know that I was told as a very young person about "guilt by association."
Based on the description of the group by the FBI, I would agree with the city manager sending an email to staff members and the Delta Police Department. Better safe than sorry. I would suggest to those who organized this meeting, if you don't want the label, don't associate with the organization. I carry a label by those who I have associated with in the past. For 21 years I hung out with this group and I got stuck with a label that I still carry today. I must say that I am even a little (well a lot) proud of that label. Being a US Marine, now retired, is one heck of a label to have.
As for the "sovereign citizens," well, I have to chuckle some. Here is a group that enjoys all the fantastic benefits of living in this wonderful country, without putting up with all that stuff like taxes, laws, courts, motor vehicle departments, etc. What a hoot. To think I spent 21 years defending their right to not do what every other American does, obey the law. So if these ladies don't like the label, they shouldn't hang out with this group. Doing so will only make them look silly and cause law enforcement to pay just that much more attention to them and what they do. They would have been better off inviting the Daughters of the American Revolution. As messed up as you may think our country is, it is the best thing on the globe. I can say that as I have lived in many, many countries.
