Spanish class forming in Hotchkiss
By Tamie Meck
Following a strong response to an announcement on social media, Hotchkiss area resident Hannah Armstrong will begin offering Spanish classes in Hotchkiss. An organizational meeting will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 30, at Memorial Hall in Hotchkiss. Armstrong recently spent five months immersed in the language while attending a mission school in Mexico. She had planned to spend this winter in Mexico but her plans changed. Since she won't be helping the people of Mexico, "I wanted to use this time to do something for the local community," said Armstrong, whose family owns and operates Abundant Life Farm on Rogers Mesa.
